predictive model：预测模型；一种利用历史数据与统计/机器学习方法来预测未来结果或未知值的数学/计算模型（常见于风控、推荐、销量预测、医学诊断等）。也可泛指“用于预测的模型”（除预测外还有解释性模型等）。

Etymology / 词源

predictive 来自 predict（预测），词根源于拉丁语 *prae-*（“在前”）+ dicere（“说”），字面含义接近“提前说出”。model 来自拉丁语 modulus（“尺度、样式”），在现代英语中常指对现实的抽象表示。合起来 predictive model 即“用于提前推断结果的抽象模型”。
